TV aerial repairs in Norfolk
No signal, channels missing, or a picture that freezes and breaks into blocks. We trace the fault from your TV back to the aerial and fix the part that’s failed.
Two quick checks before you call
- See if it’s a local problem. Put your postcode into the Freeview channel checker. If there’s work on the mast, everyone nearby is affected and an aerial visit won’t help.
- Retune your TV from its settings menu. If channels have moved, a retune often brings them back.
If neither helps, the problem is most likely the aerial, the cable or a connection. That’s where we come in.
Faults we fix
No signal on any channel
Usually a broken connector, water in the cable or an aerial that has moved. We test at the wall socket and work back to the roof.
Some channels missing
Freeview channels travel in groups, so losing several at once often means the signal is weak or the aerial is pointing slightly off.
Picture breaking up or pixelating
Blocky, freezing pictures mean the signal is too weak or too noisy. It often comes and goes with the weather.
Problems after a storm
High winds can knock an aerial out of line or loosen its bracket. We realign or refit it so it stays put.
Loose or broken aerial socket
A worn wall socket or cable can cause the same symptoms as a bad aerial. We replace sockets and cable where needed.
How the visit works
Ring or send the quote form with your postcode and what’s wrong. We book a visit, find the cause and explain what it needs. The survey is free and there’s no obligation.
If you want us to go ahead, you get a fixed price first. Work only starts once you’ve agreed it, and we test everything with you before we leave.
Questions people ask
Why has my TV lost signal?
If the whole street is affected, it’s usually work on the mast and it will come back on its own. If it’s just your house, the usual causes are a damaged cable, water in a connector, a loose socket or an aerial that has moved in the wind.
Why are only some Freeview channels missing?
Channels are broadcast in groups on different frequencies. If one group is weak at your aerial, all the channels in it can drop out together while the rest look fine.
Will a signal booster fix it?
Sometimes, but a booster amplifies interference as well as the signal, so it won’t fix a damaged cable or a badly aimed aerial. We find the cause first.
